What happens if I have a problem with my lashes?
Clients are encouraged to tell me if they have problems with their lashes while in the lash room so I can sort anything there and then. I also give clients 24 hours after an appointment to address any issues. Anything after that is chargeable so please be clear with what you require and ensure you leave happy with your lashes.

So, what exactly are lash extensions?
One lash at a time, I’ll frame your eyes with a set of your choice.. Single strands/fans of high quality synthetic lashes are applied onto your natural lashes to enhance and extend. I will create a bespoke look, using a variety of extensions to build the right volume, length and curl for your unique style.

What are Russian Lashes?
Russian Volume Lashes are fine synthetic lashes that are made from the same fibres as classic lashes. However, they are much thinner to enable the application of more than one to each natural lash. Russian Lashes are typically applied in a fan-like shape, which adds to the ‘volume’ look. Due to their lightweight nature, Russian Lashes can last up to twice as long as Classic Lash Extensions and can achieve many looks from natural to full glam.

How long will my extensions last?
With proper care, your extensions will last 4-6 weeks. You should expect to shed most of them throughout the growth cycle of your natural lashes. I recommend coming by for infills when your extensions begin to look sparse.
Exposure to steam or hot water, and touching, picking, or rubbing your lashes can weaken the adhesive bond on your extensions.
-
What are infills?
The human eye sheds 2-5 lashes a day. Infills are like touch-ups for your extensions. Booked in regularly, they’ll keep your lashes looking full and luscious. You may need them more or less often depending on how well you look after your extensions, your natural lash cycle, and the style of your initial set.
Typically, clients get infills every 2-3 weeks. If you have less than 50% of your lashes left, this will be classed as a full set.
-
Do you infill other people's work?
No. I will ALWAYS remove and do a fresh set. I do not know what supplies they have been using which may have adverse affects. The quality and style will also not match my work.
-
Do lash extensions grow out?
Yes. Since each lash extension is attached to a single natural eyelash, they will fall out naturally. This is due to the client’s natural growth cycle; therefore, an infill is recommended every 2-3 weeks.
-
Will extensions ruin my natural lashes?
There is a myth that eyelash extensions may ruin your natural lashes. However, when lashes are professionally applied using high quality glue, products and the client continues to look after them, there will be no damage.
-
Does it hurt?
No! When applied properly, lash extensions should NEVER hurt. Extensions are applied to your natural lashes, not touching the skin, so you shouldn’t feel a thing. With your eyes closed, you may even find the treatment so relaxing that you fall asleep.
-
How long does it take?
This is dependant on what you are getting but can take approximately 60-90 minutes.
-
Can I have eyelash extensions if my lashes are sparse, short, fine, or curly?
In the majority of cases, most lashes are good for lash extensions. However, there may be limitations to the type of look achievable if your natural lashes are particularly sparse, fine or curly.
-
Can I have extensions applied to my bottom lashes?
No.. Applying lash extensions to the bottom lashes would require clients to keep their eyes open. For safety reasons, I do not condone this practice.
-
Do I need to do anything before my appointment?
Yes, please! Reading your confirmation email thoroughly is super important. Make sure your eyelashes are squeaky clean – no traces of eye makeup. Lash extensions don’t stick to dirty lashes.
Any traces of oil or makeup will create a barrier between the adhesive and your lashes.
-
Lash extensions or strip lashes?
We all have busy lives. Lash extensions save you mascara application as well as make you feel you can apply less make up. If you are going on holiday or have a special occasion, you no longer need to worry about lash strips sliding off and always packing your lash glue. Unlike the temporary lash strips, lash extensions are customisable making them look a lot more natural.
-
Can lash extensions be removed?
Yes, but they need to be professionally removed with a special bonding dissolver. If you try to remove them yourself, you risk damaging and pulling out your own lashes. Alternatively, you can just leave them to fall out naturally.
-
Are lash extensions waterproof?
Yes, to an extent, they won’t all fall off if you get them wet. However, you need to be careful when drying them, pat dry rather than rubbing. Also, do not get them within 24-48 hours after application.
-
How do I choose which lash style is the best for me?
You can send me your requirements or some photos from my page on Instagram or via Email. Alternatively, I can advise you best at your appointment.
-
Do I need a patch test?
Cyanoacrylate is the main ingredient in lash extension adhesive and also the reason for most reactions. It is an irritant for your skin, eyeballs and respiratory functions. For this reason, lash adhesives should not touch the skin. Patch testing on the skin is an outdated method and is not a clear indicator for showing if a reaction will occur or not. That being said, applying a few lashes also DOES NOT give a clear indication of whether or not a reaction will occur.
-
How frequent do you see reactions?
Allergic reactions to eyelash extensions are very rare and unlikely, but they do happen. A reaction normally occurs within the first 72 hours post service and can include symptoms such as redness, swelling on the lid and itching. The severity of reaction differs drastically. It can be very uncomfortable and unfortunately, if you have reacted in the past to eyelash extensions, it is very likely you will react again. In the event of a reaction, the lashes need to be removed in. any instance.
-
Will I get a refund if I have a reaction?
Clients understand and consent that in rare occasions, there are risks associated with having extensions. I guarantee my eyelash extension applications and always stand behind our work. However, clients understand that as an allergic reaction is something that is out of my control, that they will not receive a refund on their should they have a reaction.
-
How do I care for my extensions?
Do not get your lashes wet for the first 24-48 hours including steam, tears, showering, swimming, Eye Makeup Remover
Brush your lashes
No oil based products
Do not touch, play with, or pick at your lashes
Do not use lash curler/mascara on them
